Tally year end process

Ex: Suppose you entered vochers in tally from 01.04.08 to 28.05.2009.This entries belongs to two financeial accounts . So you have to separate ate account 01.04.08 to 3103.09 and 01.04.09 to 31.03.2010.No need to re-enter the acounting master and investory masters . to do this goto tally select that directory which containing the 2 years data , Press Alt + F2 to change the period and tye as 01.04.2009 and 31.03.2010. Next step is Press Alt+ F3 , select Split data company , select the company (containing 2 yrs data) Just simply enter(no need to change any date). It will take 20 to 30 minutes depends on the data.After finishing this you will find two new directories i.e 01.04.08 to 31.03.09 and 01.04.09 to 31.03.10 . There is no need to transfer the opening balances as well as masters .
